Someone (I can’t recall who) asked me if I ate anything other than seafood. I thought if that particular someone (whoever it was) had those thoughts, then surely there must be others, right?
Since I have an incredibly, decandent Ragu Alla Bolognese* (pictured above) simmering on the front burner right now, what better time to give you a taste of what’s cooking in my kitchen when I’m not dishing up fresh fish.
Here’s my current “Top Ten” non-seafood food list (NSFL):
10. Pizza
9. Oatmeal with fresh fish fruit and walnuts
8. Roasted Whole Chicken (technique from Julia Childs, Mastering the Art of French Cooking)
7. Homemade soup i.e. Butternut squash, White Bean and Sausage, Turkey noodle
6. Anything from my garden
5. Greek yogurt
This is harder than I thought. I do eat a lot of seafood.
4. Turkey and fish fresh spinach sammie with Dijon mustard.
3. Assorted cheeses and Wine (of course)
2. Scrambled Eggs
1. Dessert (My recent favorite?) Sea Salt Caramel Gelato.
Tomorrow I’m making fresh fish tacos.
