It’s amazing what one, two or three people can do to change the way we live, eat and make a lifestyle for ourselves.

Last night I was a guest on Christine & Katie’s Google+ hangout. Christine Pittman,  of Cook The Story, and Katie Jasiewicz at Katie’s Cucina, are two of my favorite Florida food bloggers.

If you’ve never done a hangout, simply put, it’s a face-to-face video chat.

The topic last night: sustainable wild salmon. (I’ll get to the oysters in a minute.)

The chat was a success, and we’d agreed to chat about salmon again in September, after my trip to Alaska, (more on that and the edited video next week.)

After the chat, I did some research as a follow-up, you know, while things were still fresh.

I’d written an email to Christine & Katie referring to sources, retail outlets and online shopping links.

I’d received a few emails in return, and when I opened the one mentioned below, read the article, and then watched the video, I became so deliriously happy, I decided to share the happiness with you.

But go ahead, watch the video yourself.

See if this dad’s pearls of wisdom about his  love for his son doesn’t bring tears to your eyes.

All it took was a vision, a love of the water, a few thousand oyster seeds and some serious hard work.

Mike D & Mike M, at Montauk Shellfish Company, are changing the world, one, two or three people at a time, (and several thousand Montauk Pearl Oysters.)

Cheers Mike D & Mike M, on your continued success, at Montauk Shellfish Company.

Who do you know that is changing the world one, two or three people at a time?

(Disclosure: The photo at the top of the post, is not a Montauk Pearl Oyster.)
